Police Records Check Documentation:

A Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector (PRCSVS) is not required for admission to the Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Program. However, it is a mandatory requirement for participation in field placement.

Students must obtain and submit a current PRCSVS by the deadline communicated by the program and are responsible for all associated costs. Failure to submit the required documentation by the deadline may prevent students from participating in field placement and delay their progression through the program.

Students who are unable to obtain a PRCSVS that meets field placement requirements may be unable to complete the mandatory placement components of the program, which are required for graduation.

Detailed instructions about the PRCSVS process, including when to apply and how to submit documentation, will be provided in FAM1264: Introduction to the Field of Developmental Services.

Do not begin the PRCSVS process until you have received instructions in FAM1264.
