Celebrating the Launch of Algonquin College’s new Academic Plan

In October 2023, the office of the Senior Vice-President, Academic, launched a new implementation process and framework to provide seed funding that encourages idea generation and innovation supporting one or more of the Academic Plan priority objectives. The process includes an Academic Plan Innovation Fund (APIF) and committee.

The first step in the process is to complete a Step 1 Idea Proposal Application form. All employees at Algonquin College are encouraged to submit their ideas and initiatives. Ideas must be endorsed by your Supervisor ahead of submitting an application form. All applications will be reviewed by the Academic Plan Innovation Fund (APIF) committee. If there is alignment with the priority objectives of the Academic Plan, the employee will receive an invitation to meet with members of the committee to discuss their idea.
