Skills students have at the start of co-op work term:

• Mobile first responsive web design
• Front-end development using html5/css3/JavaScript
• User experience design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Version control using Git
• Form Design
• Motion Graphics
• Video pre-production/production/post-production
• JS Libraries such as jQuery/jQuery mobile and pre-processors such as SASS/LESS
• mySQL and PHP primarily aimed at basic UI features such as logins and contact forms as well as CMS customization

Suggested job titles:

• Developer
• Designer
• UX researcher
• Photographer
• Videographer

Requirements to remain eligible for co-op:

This program offers one optional co-op work term. Qualified students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 with a minimum grade of B in MTM6304 - Media Project Planning, MTM6231 - Content Management Systems I and MTM6260 - User Experience Design I can apply for a paid co-op employment to gain valuable work experience and build their network within the industry. Students must not have failed any courses previous to work term. Contact your Program Coordinator for specific qualification requirements.
