Skills students have at the start of co-op work term:

• Standard operating procedures, maintaining lab notebooks, and following Ontario
  WHMIS, Canada Biosafety guidelines, OHS guidelines, and different safety procedures based
  on BSL regulations
• Aseptic technique
• Performing spectrophotometry, titrations, chromatography, standardization of unknowns using
  primary and secondary standards
• Prepare and process samples
• Isolation and culturing of specific bacterial cells through streak plates, spread plates, and pour
  plates
• Understand and work within quality systems (ex. ISO17025, GMP)
