AC Press

Algonquin College (AC) Press is the academic publishing unit of Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario. This model of publishing focuses on bringing faculty knowledge to learners through the development of Course Packs, and Course Manuals. AC Press also supports faculty authorship of traditional textbooks in both digital and print formats.

AC Press continues to explore lean, innovative methods to bring critical resources from faculty to learners. Current results show AC Press titles save learners an approximate $60.00 per resource over new commercially available textbooks. Part of how AC Press achieves these results is a print-on-demand relationship with Algonquin College Print Services, experts in course material print production.

Algonquin College employees are part of a vibrant academic community with knowledge to share and AC Press seeks to be that outlet. Over the coming year, AC Press will engage stakeholders to identify a way to work more closely with staff to support academic authorship and the book production process including drafts, revisions, and layouts.
