Peer Tutoring Reimbursement Application

Peer Tutoring Services match registered Algonquin College students who are having academic difficulties with trained students for one-on-one content tutoring. Students that qualify for sponsored tutoring through the International Education Centre, Centre for Accessible Learning, WSIB, Aspire AC Sponsorship or Dual Credit program are expected to use the relevant sponsorship for tutoring and will not be eligible to receive Financial Aid sponsored tutoring. Any attempt to intentionally misuse the service in anyway may lead to denial of funding for future tutoring.

Instructions:

Students must pay for tutoring up-front and provide Financial Aid and Student Awards receipts by the end of the term for reimbursement.
There is a three-hours a week limit for tutoring reimbursed by Financial Aid and Student Awards. If you need more hours, you are expected to pay for them yourself.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be currently enrolled in a full-time or part-time program at Algonquin College.
  • The following are not eligible:
    • International Students
    • Apprenticeship Programs
    • Algonquin College employees paying a reduced tuition
  • You must demonstrate a financial need.
