New Accepted Students who have not yet submitted their Study Permit Application and Provincial Attestation Letters (PAL)

A new requirement has been established for anyone who submits their study permit application after January 22, 2024. After this date, all applications for study permits must be supported by a Provincial Attestation Letter, or PAL, from the Provincial government. It is now too late to apply for a PAL for the Spring 2024 intake, and if you did not apply for a Study Permit prior to January 22, 2024, you need to defer your admissions to the next available intake. If a deferral hasn’t yet been completed, please request one in the application portal directly, or via your agent if you have one.

Algonquin College makes the requests for PALs to the government on behalf of students. The PAL request process is NOW OPEN for Fall 2024 Applicants who require the new and mandatory document. If you haven’t already done so, you can fill out our Fall 2024 Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) request form.
