Engagements

For the Master Campus Development Plan (MCDP) to be successful, the MCDP team needs to take into account the views, comments, and good ideas of the students, employees, Indigenous population, and all other people that have an impact on the successful operations of the College and its three campuses.

Since the MCDP’s conception, the team has engaged to seek views, comments, and good ideas and will be continuing to do so over the next six months. This page will outline the latest engagements, sessions, and historic engagements over the last year.

Upcoming events:

May 13, 2024 – Master Campus Development Plan – Consultation Session

This will be a great opportunity for all staff and students to attend a full briefing on the latest information on the Master Campus Development Plan (MCDP). This will be held at the Ottawa Campus, Nawapon (C100), on Monday, May 13, 2024. Doors open at 12:45 p.m.

There will be a 40-minute presentation by the MCDP team, followed by questions and answers, with an opportunity to learn about the latest information on display boards and speak to the MCDP team.

  • 2023-on-going – Monthly, bi-monthly meetings with: Board of Governors (BoG), Algonquin College Executive Team (ACET), Algonquin College Leadership Team (ACLT), College Space Committee (CSC), Intergraded College Development Planning (ICDP), Indigenous Education Council (IEC), Director of Development Services, Town of Perth, Director of Planning, Building and By-law Enforcement, the City of Pembroke, the City of Ottawa and local city councilor, local MP and MPP, neighbouring local land and commercial landowners.
  • March 4, 2024 – Master Campus Development Plan (MCDP) Working Group adjusted to monthly meetings thereafter

  • November 20, 2023 – Meeting with Indigenous Focus Group
  • November 20, 2023 – Student Navigators will promote the new quick survey
  • November 1, 2023 – Board of Governors Generative Discussion
  • June 30 – August 14, 2023 – Interviews with the Algonquin College Executive Team (ACET), Algonquin College Leadership Team (ACLT), Human Resources, Students’ Association, OPSEU Local 416 Support Union and OPSEU Local 415 Academic Union.
  • June 19, 2023 – Master Campus Development Plan (MCDP) Working Group first meeting and bi-monthly thereafter
