Student Experience

What to Expect

Students in the Interactive Media Design program at Algonquin College work on projects in a team-based environment and learn about the multimedia industry with a hands-on approach. Initially, students learn the ‘tools of the trade’, before moving on to electronic communications, documentation, design, programming and game development.

Student Success & Testimonials

Successful graduates get employed in positions such as e-commerce developer, interactive designer, internet coder or programmer, new media designer or developer, and in other industry-related fields.

Work-Integrated Learning

The final stage of the program allows for the practical combination of theory and skill into a series of individual projects, as well as a number of team-based applications. Finally, students apply what they’ve learned in the real world with an eight-week field placement.
