Message from the Vice President, Finance and Administration – Planned Power Shutdown

Dear Colleagues and Learners,

Crews are working to resolve technical issues at the Ottawa Campus with the College’s power supply. The issues are related to our transformers.

In order to undertake important maintenance work, a planned power shutdown will take place at approximately 10:15 p.m. this evening.

We are unable to provide a precise time for the restoration of full power at this time, but expect it could take up to two hours. Continue reading

Message from the President – Potential OSSTF Walkout

Dear Learners and Colleagues,

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) has announced that it intends to hold a one-day walkout for all members on Wednesday, Jan. 8 unless an agreement is reached. If this occurs, all teachers and education workers represented by OSSTF in eight school boards will be closed to students. The boards affected are:
• Renfrew County District School Board
• Peel District School Board
• District School Board of Niagara
• Algoma District School Board
• Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board
• Greater Essex County District School Board
• Avon Maitland District School Board
