Algonquin College welcomes CDI College team to officially sign partnership agreement

OTTAWA (June 7, 2022) – Algonquin College welcomed the executive team from CDI College today to formally sign a partnership agreement which licenses CDI to deliver select Algonquin College programs to students at its four campuses in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, beginning in Mississauga in the fall of 2022.

CDI College, a private career college, opened its first campus in Toronto in 1969 and operates campuses across Canada with over 14,000 students. “We change lives through education” has remained its founding principle after over 50 years delivering hands-on, applied learning programs in the fields of business, technology, education, health care, legal studies, and arts and design.

The partnership, which was officially announced earlier this year, supports Algonquin College’s strategy to enhance its global impact by growing international enrollment in post-secondary programs in Canada. The additional source of revenue will be reinvested into strategic investment priorities that benefit its home campuses in Ottawa, Pembroke, Perth and AC Online, such as new program development, technology, and curriculum renewal.

Algonquin College President & CEO, Claude Brulé, shakes hands with CDI College President & CEO, Dr. Peter Chung, in celebration of the partnership agreement's official signing. The pair stand in front the Algonquin College and Canadian flags alongside Algonquin College banners that read "Welcome to the International Education Centre".
