OTTAWA (July 2, 2025) — Applications are now open for Algonquin College’s new Real Estate Salesperson Program, offered as an approved education provider of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). This program, alongside the Real Estate Broker Program that will launch in fall 2025, will support those looking to embark upon their real estate careers as well as mid-career professionals who are looking to complete their educational requirements. The program’s courses will be delivered online and allow flexible scheduling, providing an ideal learning environment for busy professionals.
“This exciting opportunity as a RECO-approved provider underscores our collective dedication to providing excellence in professional training and education,” said Julie Beauchamp, the College’s Senior Vice President, Academic. “RECO’s expertise has guided the development of these new programs and together we are prepared to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as real estate professionals.”
This announcement confirming the College as an official RECO-approved provider first came on March 6, 2025. This will make Algonquin College one of only four post-secondary institutions currently approved to deliver real estate registration education in Ontario, alongside Humber Polytechnic, Fleming College and the Career College Group.
“We’re pleased to welcome Algonquin College as an approved education provider,” said Joseph Richer, Registrar of the Real Estate Council of Ontario. “Expanding access to real estate education across Ontario helps ensure that aspiring salespersons and brokers have choice as they prepare to meet the demands of a regulated profession and deliver high standards of service to the public.”
