Algonquin College has made history after placing first overall in the 39th Annual Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition (OCMC) on Friday, November 22.
OCMC is an annual sales and marketing competition comprised of eight case competitions in various Marketing disciplines such as, Retail Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Direct Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Prospect Pitch and International Marketing. There are also two individual events (Sales Presentation and Job Interview) as well as a four-person team event (Quizbowl) consisting of members from different colleges answering questions against the buzzer. This year, 12 Ontario Colleges participated with over 300 graduating-level students showcasing their business talents to earn top awards for teamwork and strategic thinking. Continue reading
