COMMUNICATING IN THE CANADIAN WORKPLACE

Course: HLT0294

Regular and confident engagement in spoken communication prepares students for success at college and in the workplace. Students use critical speaking and listening strategies to develop the skills required to actively, thoughtfully and effectively communicate within and across specific work environments. They practice the fundamental communication skills used for managing the tasks and issues they will face in college and at work. Through theory, grammar, scenario-based learning, research and analysis, and discussion, students engage in conversations and activities relevant to contemporary life in Canada and its workplaces.
