Receiving your credential

If you are studying part-time or if you are studying full-time but have taken a part-time course in your last semester, you need to apply to graduate.

Many of our courses can lead to a College Approved Certificate or an Ontario College credential. Others may lead to certification or accreditation by external professional or licensing bodies. Requirements are clearly outlined in program information monographs.

To receive a College Approved Certificate or an Ontario College credential from Algonquin, at least 25 percent of the course hours in your program of study must be completed through the College. Upon completion of the final course in the program, part-time students must submit a request to graduate, and payment through their ACSIS account.

ACSIS Application to Graduate for Part-time Students

    1. When you are ready to graduate from their program, click on Application to Graduate under the part-time students’ menu in ACSIS.
    2. From this page, you can either submit a new request or view the status of any submitted requests. You must declare into your program in order to apply to graduate.

 

Once you have declared into your program, you can submit your application either using the first link under Part-time Students, or using the link in the declaration screen.

  1. Now that you are declared, you can go ahead and click on Apply to Graduate to start your application. If you have declared in multiple programs, you will see all programs on this page. Click on the program you wish to graduate from.

  2. You will be prompted to choose the address you want your credential mailed to. If your address is incorrect, you will need to update your address and restart your application to graduate. At this time, we are unable to provide an option to allow you to pick up your credential from our campus.
  3. If the address is correct, click on Proceed with Payment.
  4. Enter and submit your payment information.
  5. Once the payment has been processed, you will get this confirmation message. If you would like to review your application status, you can go back to the Application to Graduate.
  6. Once the payment has been processed, you will get a confirmation message. If you would like to review your application status, you can view this from the Application to Graduate option.
  7. You will be to view the status of your application to graduate once complete. If your application to graduate does not meet the graduation requirements, you will be notified by the department granting your graduation before your status is changed to assist you.
