Woodworking III

Course: WOO5577

This course is listed under the following fields of study:

The world of creative furniture making builds on the foundational skills of using hand tools and power tools learned in Woodworking I and Woodworking II. Students integrate these skills as they practice furniture design techniques, joinery, turning, fine wood selection, jig and template making and the use of a variety of hardware. Working in small groups on modern design projects (which may include making a bed, table, cabinet or bench), students develop the transferrable skills and techniques to create fine woodworking furniture pieces independently. All supplies are included in the course fee and the finished projects are raffled among the students for the cost of materials.
