Brief Job Description:

The Client Care Coordinator will work closely with the Client Services Supervisor and the Clinical Director/Owner to facilitate the business functions of Forging Forward Counselling Services in Pembroke, Ontario. This position requires the ability to work from our main office independently with regular communication with the management team.

Tasks:

• Support Clinical Director / Client Services Supervisor in business administration and client management.
• Manage client intakes including scheduling, invoicing, and responding to client requests.
• Complete psycho-social assessments and/or risk assessments when needed (training can be provided).
• Offer Brief Counselling to bridge services to counsellor and offer short-term BSFC
• Maintain offices at main office location by organizing, documenting, reviewing, and tracking practice resources.
• Develop and maintain social media platforms for practice site(s) including creating relevant content and advertisements as required.
• Update website content as requested & design other marketing materials and / or advertisements.
• Perform research on local trends and needs related to mental health and develop reports and action plans for the Clinical Director.
• Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, and operating electronic media.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and peers to provide updates on business operations.
• Summarize meeting minutes and/or notes to create business forms, checklists, editorials, blog posts, and other important documents to promote services.
• Process and prepare memos, correspondence, multi-media posts, or other documents.
• Assist peers to develop group programing by creating curriculums, worksheets, activities to support the needs of the group.
• Transmit confidential information or documents using a secure electronic device, mail, or facsimile service.
• Participate in monthly team meetings and peer training as well as networking events.
• Manage practice directories, subscriptions and software services.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Services (SSW) or related field
• 1-2 years experience in counselling or psychotherapy.
• Ability to Hold appropriate liability insurance as required by the regulatory body.
• Register with the OCSWSSW (RSSW) or similar regulatory body.
• Provide a clean Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Understanding of office administration practices and processes.
• Ability to attend physical office location in Pembroke, ON as well as work remotely, where needed.
• Certification in Mental Health First Aid would be considered an asset or willingness
• Bilingualism would be considered an asset.

Working conditions

• Part-time position for 25 to 30 hours/week with potential for more as operations grow.
• In-office position, Pembroke Business Centre, between the hours of 10:00am-4:00pm from Monday-Friday
• This position will require the incumbent to manage their time and responsibilities independently with moderate supervision.

Compensation

• Wage will start at $25.50 per hour.
• Eligibility for extended health care plan after 90 days
