Job Description
Responsibilities
As a Certified Millwright, you will adhere to safety policies and promote a safe working environment by continuous improvement. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the equipment is running at the optimum level by completing preventive maintenance routes, communicating with your supervisor, and reporting any deficiencies in our computerized maintenance management program. You will ensure the operators’ satisfaction is maintained at high levels.
• Sawmill Equipment repairs as required
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Cutting, welding, and performing fabrication as needed.
• Identify mechanical and hydraulic problems and make the necessary repairs.
• Change saws, bands, sprockets, bearings, chains, etc.
• Replace chains, bearings, saws, etc.
• Lubricate equipment.
• Communicate with production worker to ensure their equipment is in optimal shape.
• Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area.
Night Shift work 3:30pm – 3:00am – Monday – Thursday.
Bonus and night shift premium.
