Job Description
Axko Construction is looking for a hard-working construction labourer to help on our job sites. We are currently looking for employees to join the crew to help with ‘fit-up’ projects. This includes excavation, interior demolition, concrete work, framing, drywall, and finishing. We are looking for reliable motivated individuals that would like to grow their career in construction. We mainly focus in the commercial and industrial markets.
Role Responsibilities:
– Use of heavy-duty tools; Demolition hammers, Concrete saws, and other various tools.
– Use of power tools; Drills, Impact drivers, Reciprocating saws, Circular saws, grinders, and common construction tools.
– Ability to lift heavy things in the 50lbs range.
– Occasional operation of equipment such as skid steers and telehandlers.
– Demolition and removal of building materials.
– Installation of new building materials.
– Following instructions form the foreman.
– Working safely and wearing required PPE at all times.
– Rebar, form, and concrete work.
Employment Requirements:
– Must own a vehicle, as sites are not accessible by public transit
– Must be punctual and reliable
– Ability to lift heavy things
– Work well with team
– Wearing PPE at all times
– Own a pair of CSA approved steel toe work boots.
– Comfortable working at heights
– Comfortable working in winter conditions
