Key Responsibilities
• Operate, load, and monitor heat treat furnaces per specifications and metallurgical procedures.
• Verify casting details, including melt and part numbers, test bar requirements, and heat treat conditions.
• Safely use forklifts, hoists, or cranes to load/unload furnace materials and fixtures.
• Maintain accurate records on log sheets and charts for process tracking.
• Monitor and control compressors, fans, and furnace gas content using CO₂ sampling equipment.
• Inspect and maintain racks, fixtures, and castings for alignment, straightness, and overall quality using templates.
• Conduct routine CO₂ and boron trifluoride line checks, documenting inspection results.
• Perform security checks throughout the facility and assist with fire response if necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
• Candidates must possess a High School Diploma/GED Certificate or equivalent training and experience.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Familiarity with high-temperature industrial environments and metal thermal processing techniques.
• Valid forklift license or experience operating forklifts is considered an asset.
• Background in monitoring furnaces and heat treatment systems is advantageous.

Security Requirements:
• We conduct a criminal Record Check on all new hires
• We conduct a Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Check on all new hires; must be able to give 3 references to help verify your identity
Work Conditions:
• Must be available to work rotating 12-hour Continental shifts on a weekly basis, including days, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
• Required to wear CSA-approved steel-toed footwear and fire-retardant clothing at all times while on the production floor.
• Work is performed in a hot, industrial environment with exposure to high temperatures, molten metals, and occasional fumes or airborne particles
• Employees must follow strict safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed.
• Physical demands include standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, and lifting of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Regular interaction with team members and supervisors is expected to ensure safe, efficient operations.
