Elizabeth Manley is a former figure skater who competed for 40 years, both as an amateur and professional, participating in two Olympic Games, six World Championships, and winning three National Titles. She won the silver medal and became the Olympic Freestyle Champion in 1988, a journey she recounts in her speaking engagements, where she also discusses the importance of mental health.
Elizabeth is now a Certified Life/Executive Coach, using her own experiences to guide others through their struggles in both life and career. Over the past 28 years, Elizabeth has been a passionate advocate for well-being and success, speaking to numerous corporations and organizations.
Elizabeth’s dedication to mental health advocacy led her to become a National Spokesperson for The Alzheimer’s Society of Ottawa and the Winners Walk of Hope for Ovarian Cancer Canada. She is an advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association of Canada, a member of the Cancer Foundation Courage Campaign Presidents’ Advisory Circle in Ottawa, and frequently collaborates with the Canadian Mental Health Association. Elizabeth has spoken to over 700 schools on the importance of mental health, bullying, and teen suicide, making a significant impact on young audiences. She has authored two autobiographies and produced three charity events, “Elizabeth Manley and Friends for Mental Health.”
