In-person proctoring in your community

You can complete your admission assessment with a proctor of your choice at another post-secondary institution. Please allow a minimum of 10 business day for these requests.

  1. As early as possible, contact a college or university testing centre in your community to find an available proctor. If a college or university test centre is not located near you, please seek approval from the Algonquin College Test Centre. In order to proctor an admission assessment for Algonquin College, a proctor needs to:
    1. Adhere to the Proctor Rules and Guidelines
    2. Successfully pass the Certification of Test Administration
  2. Gather the following information from the proctor who will be administering the exam:
    • Proctor’s full name
    • Position at the institution
    • Proctor’s institution email address (personal email addresses are not permitted)
    • Proctor’s phone number(s) at the institution
    • Institution name
    • Institution’s full address
  3. Make a booking request through your ACSIS account.
  4. The Algonquin College Test Centre will verify the suitability of the test site and proctor. A notification email will be sent to confirm/deny the request. Allow sufficient time (recommended 10 days) for the processing of your request.
  5. If approved, you will be sent a link to complete your online payment ($50 admission assessment fee).
  6. Once the payment has been processed, your proctor will be sent separate exam information.
  7. Contact the proctor and arrange a time for your assessment. Payment to your proctor at another institution varies (additional $40 or more).

Note: No refunds are issued for remote bookings.
