There are two main differences between Examity and an Algonquin College Proctor: Examity proctoring can be done at any time (24/7) for an additional fee of $35. Algonquin College Zoom proctoring does not have this fee but there are defined appointment times. Choose the method that best fits your circumstances.

Algonquin College Proctor

Please note that for Algonquin College Proctor assessments, you will receive a defined appointment time. There is a $50 fee for this assessment.

To use this service, you must ensure you:

  • Arrive in advance with valid photo ID (copies or photo or cellphone images will not be accepted)
  • Do not bring electronic devices, including cell phones in the test room – these are not permitted.
  • Indicate if you require a locker. One will be assigned to you for the test if so.

After booking your assessment you will be sent an email invitation with your test session details.

Examity Proctor

Please note that for the Examity Proctor, you can take your assessment at any time (24/7), being mindful of program/application requirements. There is a $50 fee for this assessment plus an additional $35 Examity fee.

To use this service, you must ensure you meet the minimum technology requirements:

Once the payment has been processed for your assessment (this takes approximately 24 business hours), you will be sent a unique voucher code from the sender “Accuplacer” for you to set up your profile and book your virtual proctor. All vouchers expire 60 days from the date of issue. If you need more time to write, please contact the Test Centre directly. There are no refunds.

You will upload a current and valid photo ID (you will be asked to show the same photo ID during testing). Acceptable ID includes:

  • Current driver’s license
  • Federal/Provincially approved ID
  • College ID
  • Current passport
  • Permanent Residence ID card
