Maggie provides leadership and oversight for new program planning, program and college quality assurance, annual curriculum review, and projects related to teaching, learning and program quality, as well as academic pathways development and research, and faculty training and support. Units reporting to her include Academic Development, Learning and Teaching Services (LTS) and Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) and academic pathways.

Jessica is the Chair of Academic Development. She leads the new program development initiatives for the College, as well as the program-level curriculum activities related to program modifications, Program Quality Review (PQR), and Program Standards implementation. As the Chair, she also has primary responsibility for the Ministerial consent and consent renewal processes for the College’s bachelors degree programs.

Micheline Kraska, Curriculum Administrator

Micheline is a Curriculum Administrator of Algonquin College, she provides guidance, support and oversight to the College’s academic, administrative and support staff on curriculum administration and approval activities. She also acts as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) for program curriculum and funding submissions and inquiries.

 

 

 

 


Laura Jarrell, Chair, Program Quality and Renewal

Laura leads the Program Quality Review (PQR) process, ensuring the College is compliant with Ministry requirements regarding Program Quality Assurance. Her responsibilities include managing the master PQR schedule, working with Deans and Academic Chairs / Managers to plan and oversee PQRs, providing regular updates to the Academic Area and the Board of Governors regarding PQR statuses and completions, enhancing the PQR process to meet the needs of all stakeholders, and ensuring the implementation of PQR recommendations is documented.


Rebecca Rancourt, Program Support Officer

Rebecca is responsible for providing administrative support program development including Program Review Committee, the coordination of degree submissions and renewals to the Ministry and subsequent site visits. In addition, she is the prime contact for users of the Course Outline Mapping and Management System (COMMS) providing support to faculty, course outline writers, coordinators, Chairs and liaises with the COMMS technical team for future updates and enhancements.


Charlene Lockhart, Administrative Assistant

Charlene has been with Academic Development since November 2020; formerly with Campus Services since February 2012 as an Administrative Assistant to the Director, Campus Services. In this role of Administrative Assistant Academic, Charlene administers and supports the office of the Dean, Academic Development. In addition, she provides ongoing administrative support to the Program Quality Assurance Committee and Flexible Learning and Multimodal Classroom Working Group, and College Space Committee. Charlene is a graduate of Algonquin College from the Hotel and Restaurant Management program.
