Annual Curriculum Review (ACR)

The Annual Curriculum Review (ACR) lifecycle process provides an opportunity to revise program information, including Program of Study (POS) and Narrative information, for the upcoming academic year. When required, these changes ensure the quality, relevancy and currency of College programs. Proposed changes are program-driven and informed by outcomes from Program Quality Review (PQR) activities, the release of new Program Standards from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU), and requirements from industry or regulatory bodies.

For the 2023-24 ACR cycle, the ACR process will once again be completed digitally. Program revisions will take place on the ACR SharePoint site, that contains pre-loaded CAL999 reports in MS Word format for each program offering. Revisions to the CAL999’s are entered using word “track changes” that are locked to ensure changes are not lost. Once the Char/Academic Manager has reviewed and approved the proposed program revisions, and following review and approval of the changes by the Curriculum Administrator, Program Support Officers enter approved changes into Genesis. GeneSIS remains closed to Departmental revisions until those revisions are approved by the Curriculum Administrator (CA) in the Digital ACR site.
