How long is the program?
Students begin their studies in September for a duration of four years. During the first two years of study, there is a summer break. During the third and fourth year of study, co-op placements take place during the summer (starting after third year – semester six).

What will I be taught in this program?
The curriculum covers all topics related to the human resources management profession and focuses on building human resources management knowledge and skills required to act as a strategic business partner for an organization. Levels 01 through 04 courses provide a background in finance and accounting, economics, marketing, project management, supply chain, business analytics, and law. Students begin their human resources management studies in level 05 with recruitment and selection, training, and development, compensation management, health and safety, labour relations, international human resources management, human resources management research, strategy, planning, ethics, and metrics. Students also have the opportunity to complete a human resources management capstone course to apply all of the human resources management knowledge and skills.

Can I receive advanced standing?
Undergraduate level courses can be applied towards course exemptions for this program pending an academic evaluation.

Are there any designations or certifications?
Students may elect to earn a number of human resources designations including RPR, RPT, CHRP, CHRL, CPHR, SHRM-CP, or GPHR.

Faculty include credentialed academics and practitioners from across the spectrum of the human resources management profession.
