Has the program received any endorsements?
Yes, the program has achieved the National Standard set by the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) and has qualified for the Five Star Endorsement.

Is there a field placement in the program?
Yes, there is a mandatory two-week travel industry-related field placement so that you can hit the ground running after graduation!

As a Tourism – Travel Services graduate, are there any program pathways available to me?
Yes! There is a new pathway program that allows you to complete the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management (Honours) degree sooner. Click link for details.

Do I require a license to sell travel in the travel industry?
Yes! We provide training for mandatory licensing in Ontario. It is also required in Quebec and British Columbia. Students must successfully complete the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) exam prior to placement in a licensed retail or wholesale travel service in Ontario.

Are there any student travel opportunities while I am studying in the program?
Yes! As a student, you’ll have the opportunity to travel locally and internationally while earning a course credit in Costa Rica (at an optional supplementary cost). In addition, there is a student orientation as well as other experiential learning opportunities that take place outside the classroom.

Will I need to purchase a computer for use in the classroom?
Students will be required to supply and use a mobile learning device that meets the College’s minimum hardware and software specifications (laptop).
