To book an Appointment:

  1. Visit HireAC
  2. Click on Student Login (This will bring you to your ACSIS login page)
  3. Once you log into ACSIS, scroll down on the left-hand side column and click on HireAC
  4. Next, select the Career & Employment menu on the left-hand side of the screen followed by the “Book an Appointment” option

Please note that we do not book an appointment for the same day. All employment appointments display up to one week in advance.

I did not receive a Zoom link for my upcoming appointment. When will I receive the Zoom link?

Please note that the Employment Officer will send you a Zoom link the day before your session at the latest. Remember to check your emails or calendar to verify if you have already received the link.

How do I cancel an Appointment?

Please be sure to cancel your appointment as soon as you become aware that you can no longer attend it. To cancel an appointment, navigate to the “Appointment” module in the Career & Employment module. From there you will see “My Upcoming Appointments” on the right-hand side. Click on “View Appointment” and then on “Cancel Appointment.” You will be prompted to select a cancellation reason from a drop-down. Select your reason and then click on “Commit Cancellation.”

Can I reschedule an Appointment?

If you are unable to come or must reschedule, we ask that you first cancel your current appointment by following the instructions above. You can reschedule by clicking on “Book by Appointment Type or Provider.” This will allow you to view the next available dates and time slots for your appointment of interest.

What If I don’t have a Resume or Cover Letter to submit?

If you do not have a resume or cover letter and want to know where to begin, please refer to our Employment Centre’s Online Resources for more information. Students are encouraged to create their draft document Resume or Cover Letter as a starting point, using the tools and tips from our website

Who is eligible to access The Co-op Career Centre?

Our services are available to all active students attending Algonquin College. Alumni of AC are eligible to access The Co-op and Career Centre regardless of how many years ago they graduated.

Appointment Limits

**Please Note**

Effective Spring 2024, students and graduates will be limited to three scheduled appointments per term.

To ensure students and graduates have an equal opportunity to schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor, only one appointments may be scheduled in advance.

Cancellations & No Shows 

You should make every effort to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, so others have the opportunity to book the appointment slot. If you have to cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time, please reach out to employment@algonquincollege.com as soon as possible to avoid being counted as a No Show.

There is a limit of three No Shows per term. When you book an appointment through HireAC, please understand that we are reserving time for you to see a Career Advisor. When you do not show up for an appointment without cancelling/rescheduling, this appointment time cannot be given to another student or graduate, contributing to longer wait times.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, it is recommended that you cancel your appointment prior to rescheduling.

We understand unexpected things can happen therefore, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to make your appointment. If you do not show up to your appointment without cancelling more than 2 times in the term, you will be prevented from booking future appointments via HireAC for the duration of the term.
