David C. Onley Initiative

The David C. Onley Initiative for Employment and Enterprise Development (DCOI) was an innovative partnership between Ottawa’s post-secondary institutions (Algonquin College, La Cite, Carleton University and the University of Ottawa) to develop knowledge, resources, and tools to support students with disabilities transition into employment and advance their careers. Hosted by Carleton University, the Onley Initiative engaged industry, built awareness, fostered entrepreneurial endeavours, and developed employment supports in post-secondary institutions.

Although this government-funded initiative came to an end in April 2020, many resources and tools were created to support students and graduates, employers and service providers.
