Skills students have at the start of co-op work term:
- Define project goals, constraints, deliverables, performance criteria, control needs, and resource requirements in consultation with stakeholders.
- Create detailed work breakdown structures, plans and budgets for a project.
- Align projects to strategic plans.
- Apply the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge standards to project activities.
- Create and control a project schedule using MS Project or Excel.
- Report project status.
- Create project reports and other documentation.
- Coordinate and manage project execution.
- Manage the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of a project, and adapt plans in response to external and internal issues.

Requirements to remain eligible for co-op:
This program requires students to complete one co-op work term. Qualified students who achieve the minimum GPA of 3.2 and achieve a minimum grade of B+ in MGT4104 (Project Management Fundamentals), and successfully complete GEP1001 – Cooperative Education & Job Readiness two academic terms before the first scheduled work term. Contact your Program Coordinator for specific qualification requirements.
