On-Site Work

Contractors & Service Providers
All contractors need to be entered into the Contractor Control System. Health and Safety measures have been put in place to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Access will not be granted to any service provider who has not completed the following steps:

Before Arriving On-Site
Contractors must submit the Service Provider Contractor Control Form with all required signatures and supporting documents to the Service Desk.

Facilities Management must have proof of valid WSIB and/or Insurance Certificates before work can begin.


Documents Required Ahead of Work
Hot work requires 72hr notice is provided to Facilities Management. You must submit the Hot Work Permit to the Service Desk.

Service Disruptions affecting power, water, heating, or cooling require a 72hr notice, submit the Service Shutdown Permit form to the Service Desk. Approval will be provided if your requirement can be accommodated.

Keys for access are provided by submitting the Key Request Form to the Service Desk. Contact the Service Desk at 613-727-4723 ext. 7710 for instructions on how to use the swipe card with your pin to access the keybox. Swipe cards are located in the self-service area of A191.


Arriving to Begin Work
Make your way to A building, room 191 (A191) self-service area, you will need to sign out a Contractor Badge that is to be worn for the duration of the work being completed. Badges may be signed out for a maximum of 30 days at a time. Renewal can be done every 30 days if required.

Completion of Work
Your Contractor badge and key box access card need to be returned to A191 to the blue Contractor Badge drop-box. Exit through C building main entrance.

Emergency Procedures
The Woodroffe Emergency Poster provides you with all the necessary information in the event of an emergency at the college. Read and carry with you while on-site if possible.
