The Ottawa Campus Library offers a variety of study spaces tailored to meet different academic needs.
Collaborative Space (C350)Our Collaborative Space is designed for group work and low-volume discussions. While individual study areas are available, please note this space is not intended to be silent. To maintain a respectful environment, audible audio is not allowed; we ask everyone to please use headphones and be considerate of their peers. |
Silent Study Room (Room C365)For those seeking a quiet environment, the Silent Study Room is perfect for focused, individual study. This room is dedicated to silence—no talking is permitted. It is accessible 24/7, seven days a week, allowing students to study whenever it suits them. |
Collection Room II (Room C361)Collection Room II provides a Quiet Study space, housing the library’s collections of Reference, law, ESL, and children’s books. This area features both individual and group seating but is designated for quiet study only. Please note that food is not allowed in this room, and it is open from 8:00AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. |
Drop-in CarrelsIndividual desks for focused study, available on a first-come, first-served basis and equipped with dedicated power outlets and USB-C charging. |
Technology-Equipped AreasSpaces with desktop computers, printers, and charging stations. |
Accessible Desks and DesktopsWorkstations designed to support a wide range of accessibility needs, featuring adjustable-height desks, ergonomic furnishings, and assistive technologies to promote equitable access to study, research, and academic activities. |

Presentation Studio (C262)Need a space to practice or record a presentation? The Presentation Studio is a dedicated multimedia room equipped with presentation technology and a green wall, making it ideal for rehearsing, recording, and refining your presentation skills. Located on the 2nd floor of the DARE District (Building C), the studio can be booked for individual or group presentation practice. Pembroke Campus Library
The Pembroke Campus Library offers a variety of study spaces for students’ use. The Library’s Main Level (Room 145) is accessible Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and the Upper Level is accessible whenever the campus is open.
Note: Students with specific study space needs may inquire with Library staff.
Quiet Study (Main and Upper Levels)Quiet Study seating along the window walls of the Library’s Main Level, and Quiet Study carrels on the Upper Level, are designated for low-level discussion; however, audible audio is not allowed. Please use headphones in consideration of others using these spaces. |
Silent Study (Main Level, Room 145)Silent Study carrels on the Library’s Main Level are designated for focused, individual study; no talking is permitted. |
Assistive Technology Meeting Room (Main Level, Room 145c)This Quiet Study room is priority use for students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL), although any student may book it. It is designated for low-level discussions and may be booked for individual or group use – inquire at the Library’s Main Desk. All bookings are tentative and first-come, first-served. |
Group Study Rooms (Upper Level, Rooms 203, 204, and 205)Three bookable Group Study Rooms on the Library’s Upper Level are designed for group work (single occupants are not permitted) and low-level discussions. Click here to check availability and find instructions for booking a group study room. |
