Leadership Mentoring Program – Protocol and Process

Recruitment

Mentees – All Employees

Mentors – ACLT/Graduates of ALEI 3/Graduates of the Algonquin College Leadership Mentoring Program

Selection

Mentees

  • Self-Identify using Criteria/Expectations/Qualities for Participation as a guide
  • Discuss the opportunity with direct supervisor
  • Complete a Request to Participate Form (Mentee) (It will be submitted to the Center for Organizational Learning (COL)
  • COL notifies successful participants.

Mentors

  • Self-identify using Criteria/Qualities for Participation (Mentor)
  • Complete the Request to Participate Form (Mentor) (It will be submitted to the Center for Organizational Learning (COL)
  • COL notifies successful participants if/when they are members of the mentor pool

Matching

  • The Center for Organizational Learning (COL) will match mentors with mentees based on: *the information in the Request for Participation Form (Mentee/Mentor)
  • the mentor’s strengths and areas of leadership expertise as compared to the mentee’s identified areas for growth
  • The COL will communicate the pairings to all participants in the program as well as any other pertinent information
