Leadership Mentoring Program – Protocol and Process
Recruitment
Mentees – All Employees
Mentors – ACLT/Graduates of ALEI 3/Graduates of the Algonquin College Leadership Mentoring Program
Selection
Mentees
- Self-Identify using Criteria/Expectations/Qualities for Participation as a guide
- Discuss the opportunity with direct supervisor
- Complete a Request to Participate Form (Mentee) (It will be submitted to the Center for Organizational Learning (COL)
- COL notifies successful participants.
Mentors
- Self-identify using Criteria/Qualities for Participation (Mentor)
- Complete the Request to Participate Form (Mentor) (It will be submitted to the Center for Organizational Learning (COL)
- COL notifies successful participants if/when they are members of the mentor pool
Matching
- The Center for Organizational Learning (COL) will match mentors with mentees based on: *the information in the Request for Participation Form (Mentee/Mentor)
- the mentor’s strengths and areas of leadership expertise as compared to the mentee’s identified areas for growth
- The COL will communicate the pairings to all participants in the program as well as any other pertinent information
