New Employee Orientation Program

At Algonquin College, we believe your College orientation is more than just sharing information. It is about creating meaningful connections, building community, and helping you feel welcomed, supported, and inspired from the very beginning of your journey with us.

Our quarterly Building Connections: New Employee Welcome is a key component of the onboarding experience for new employees. This in person social breakfast and orientation experience provides an opportunity to connect with other new colleagues from across the College, engage with College leadership, and learn more about our mission, values, and culture. Most importantly, it is an opportunity to better understand the important role you play in supporting students and contributing to the College community.

Participation in this event is an important part of the onboarding experience for new employees within scope under HR10. Your People Leader plays an important role in supporting your participation and helping ensure you are able to attend. Employees are encouraged to review the applicable policy for additional details regarding eligibility and participation requirements.

Important Information

This event is offered by invitation to employees within scope under HR10. If applicable, you will receive an invitation to the next available session within a month following your hire date. Invitations, including attendance confirmation details, will be sent directly by the session facilitator.

We also encourage you to continue exploring the New Employee Hub and your Workday onboarding plan for additional resources, important information, and onboarding supports to help you navigate your first few weeks at the College. Your People Leader and department will also play an important role in supporting your role specific onboarding, helping you learn about your team, responsibilities, and departmental practices and processes.
