Spring Orientation
Algonquin College Spring Orientation at the Pembroke campus – Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2
Welcome to the Algonquin College Waterfront Campus!
Orientation is a very important step to preparing you for the first day of classes on Monday, May 5th. This is your opportunity to meet your program coordinator, review clinical placement requirements for your program, learn about student supports available on campus and meet your fellow classmates.
Orientation Schedule – Thursday, May 1
10:00 – 10:30am | Student Support Presentation: outlining key services available to students |
10:30 – 10:45am | How to Manage your AC Email Account Workshop: learn how to manage and organize your college email |
10:45 – 12:00pm | College Preparation Time: submit your photo or pick up your Student ID, receive step by step network setup assistance, have your financial aid questions answered and more |
12:00 – 1:00pm | Lunch: Free Lunch on us |
10:00 – 1:00pm | Community Information Tables: engagement with community organizations such as Community Employment Services, Local Immigration Partnership, our AC Housing Coordinator and more |
Orientation Schedule – Friday, May 2
10:00 – 11:00am | Program Orientation: faculty-lead to provide students with an overview of their coursework and expectations |
11:00 – 12:00pm | Clinical Placement Session: covering placement requirements and expectations |
12:00 & Beyond | Connect with our Health Nurse: ensure you are on the right track to receiving all of your required vaccinations prior to placement |

International Students
In addition to AC Orientation at the Pembroke campus, first-year international students are required to attend a mandatory virtual International Student Orientation. This orientation is offered on Tuesday, April 29th from 9:00 – 11:00am EST. Topics includes immigration, health insurance, international student support/resources, safety and security, academic success and more. This Orientation will be delivered in a virtual format.
