R3 Project Phases

This multi-year R3 Project includes dozens of Algonquin College employees working together with our SIS vendor, Thesis. Throughout this Project, we’ll be configuring, testing and implementing a new SIS as well as a range of updated business processes and student portal. Here’s an overview of the Project phases:

The project timeline staring with five phases: Familiarize Phase also called Discovery phase. Learning about the new SIS capabilities. Vendor learns about AC Project is marked here in the Design and Develop phase, also called Personalize phase. Configure the SIS for AC. Redesign business processes. Technical Testing phase, also called Integrated System Testing phase. Team tests that the new SIS works as required. Business process training begins. Feedback Collected and Analyzed. Issues identified and resolved. User Testing phase, also called Acceptance Testing phase. Users test final versions of new SIS. Issues identified and resolved. Go-Live phase, also called Deploy. New SIS is available.
