Recap: Dec. 7, 2023 Showcase Event | Project Highlights and Awards Application Process Demo

December’s R3 Showcase event was hosted by Vice President of Student Services and R3 Project Executive Sponsor, Laura Stanbra. The event welcomed more than 190 participants from across the College who came together to celebrate this year-end Showcase.
President and CEO, Claude Brulé, kicked off the event by featuring some of the 2023 Project highlights. This included the work of the R3 Project’s Business Systems Analysts and Business Analysts who have completed over 700 configurations and 100+ enhancements on the Project so far.
Next, Teressa Williamson, Change Management Officer R3 Project, provided an update on the Learner Change Management Plan. This featured an overview of the strategies that will be used to help support AC learners with the transition to using the new Thesis Student Portal.
Rachel Robichaud, Bursary and Student Awards Officer, discussed the Awards Application Process. She compared the current and future state of how AC issues Awards to learners and highlighted the forecasted benefits Thesis SM and the Thesis Student Portal will bring for AC learners and employees.
Jagan Sandhu, Business Systems Analyst R3 Project, finished off the presentation by providing a live demo of how students will submit a bursary application in the Thesis Student Portal.
The event closed with an engaging Q&A session and an audience poll.
