Student Experience

Gain practical skills and experience

The Computer Engineering Technology – Computing Science program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada is aimed at students looking for a broad-based, general education in computing studies. Students learn practical skills in our Microsoft-based, Linux-based, hardware and networking labs, using the latest software. In their final year, students complete a real-world project for external clients, which provides valuable experience and pulls together all concepts in the software lifecycle, and have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area of interest. The program offers a co-op opportunity after three semesters, where students can do three semesters (1 full year) of paid placement before they graduate.
