OC Transpo U-Pass Validation Issue
Although many students are reporting properly functioning cards, we are continuing to monitor the performance of the AC Card + U-Pass when it is tapped on OC Transpo fare readers.
If you are still receiving red error messages when tapping your card on an OC Transpo fare reader, please know the following:
- We have confirmed with OC Transpo that bus operators have been instructed to allow students to board the bus even if their U-Pass is not working. Should your first trip be on a train route, please use the video call function on the ticket machine to speak with a customer service representative and they will allow you to board.
- If you have had to pay an “extra” fare because of the malfunctioning U-Pass, you can submit a refund request using the OC Transpo U-Pass Refund Request form.
