NACADA

NACADA, the National Academic Advising Association, is a dynamic organization of over 10,000 members that, in its own words, "...promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education ...[and] provides a forum for discussion, debate, and the exchange of ideas pertaining to academic advising through numerous activities and publications."

Interested in professional development  opportunities?  Ontario is part of Region 5 (Great Lakes) of NACADA which offers a conference each year.  This year, April 17-19, 2011, the conference is in Bloomington Illinois.  The annual conference is in Denver Colorado this year, October 3-6, 2011.
