Reducing Healthcare’s Environmental Impact

We’re fourth year nursing students and for our community placement this term we are working alongside the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO), Ontario Nurses for the Environment Interest Group (ONEIG), with the intent to lessen the waste that the healthcare system produces. The goal for our project is to raise awareness regarding the amount of waste healthcare workers are generating, within our healthcare system as it significantly adds to the adverse impacts on the environment and the health of our communities.
