Algonquin College Hosts Pan-Canadian AI Leadership Design Sprint

Algonquin College welcomed post-secondary leaders from across the country on April 24 for the Pan-Canadian AI Consortium (PCAIC) AI Innovation Leadership Design Sprint, held at the Ottawa Campus.

Co-hosted with Bow Valley College, the session brought together college presidents, working group leads and sector partners to collaborate on how artificial intelligence can enhance the learner experience, strengthen teaching and learning and support workforce readiness across Canada.

Algonquin team takes youth-built research game to national stage

Algonquin College team presents at CICan

At this week’s national Colleges and Institutes Canada Conference, students and researchers from Algonquin College shared how a co‑created board game was opening new conversations and pathways for youth across Ottawa.

A small team of researchers and students shared something unusual on a national stage. At the conference, they presented a board game.

It might have sounded unexpected, but for this group, the game was serious work.
