Meet Hmoad Hajali, an upper-level Computer Systems Technician – Networking student at Algonquin College, who is currently completing a co-op work term at Nunavut Arctic College in Iqaluit.
The openness to experience and the ability to jump into a new field, despite uncertainty, led Hajali to Algonquin College and eventually to Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) in Iqaluit.

April is National Woodworking Month, a yearly celebration since 1990 dedicated to highlighting the artistry, skill, and tradition of crafting with wood. It serves as a time for hobbyists and professionals to engage in projects, learn new techniques, and celebrate craftsmanship through workshops, special events, and tool sales.
To celebrate, we’re highlighting the Algonquin Wolves Loggersports team, based out of the Pembroke Campus. The team has been a long-standing part of student life, with a history rooted in the Forestry programs and the campus’ connection to the forestry industry. The team has been a part of the Canadian Intercollegiate Lumberjacking Association (CILA) since at least 1999.
Meet Gabriel Le Houillier, a twenty-year-old Rockland Nationals hockey player in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). Le Houillier aspires to be a professional hockey player, but he’s building business knowledge along the way, taking classes through Algonquin College’s AC Online.
