These symbols were placed around Building E, the Three Sisters Garden and on nearby trees and structures at the Ottawa Campus.

Indigenous women in Canada face a homicide rate that is approximately 4.5 times higher than that of other women. Red Dress Day, observed annually on May 5, serves as a time to honour their lives and raise awareness about this ongoing crisis.

To support this movement, individuals are encouraged to wear red, educate themselves about MMIWG2S and engage in local community initiatives. For those seeking guidance, the Mamidosewin Centre offers access to Indigenous Counsellors.
