Northern Youth Abroad students visit Algonquin College

Students from the Canadian North are in Ottawa participating in the annual Northern Youth Abroad program. The program cultivates youth leadership, individual career goals, cross-cultural awareness and international citizenship for youth from Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.

During their visit, students enjoyed time at Algonquin College, meeting current AC learners at the Mamidosewin Centre and learning about post-secondary opportunities in Ottawa.

On Friday, July 17, participants learned about skilled trades and creating lanterns with their own personalized designs on the sides.
