As we prepare for the upcoming 2023 Spring Convocation, we are pleased to
highlight our valedictorians who will be speaking to their respective classes during their ceremonies.
Question: What does being named valedictorian mean to you?
Answer: Being the valedictorian means a lot to me, because it’s an honour to represent my fellow classmates and my friends at the same time and at the same time it’s showed me that hard work pays off.

Question: What are some of the highlights from your time at Algonquin College?
Answer: The faculty and students have been so amazing at Algonquin. The faculty has been so approachable, especially because the first two years of my program were online. I just felt like I was super connected to everybody still, even though we were apart and that made the transition super easy when we all came in person because I already knew all the wonderful people in the program.

Jeremy Coorsh and Fabiana (Faby) Ferraresso met in Algonquin College’s Public Relations program a little over two years ago — both coming to the program as mature students eager to take on a new challenge and opportunity. But they couldn’t even begin to imagine the lifelong opportunity that awaited them.
A year of friendship and multiple group projects later, Coorsh and Ferraresso’s relationship bloomed into a beautiful romance which led Coorsh to take a big leap — at the last class of their program, after a long day of presentations, Coorsh marked the occasion with a heartfelt proposal.
