President Claude Brulé receives special recognition from City of Ottawa mayor

On Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, President Claude Brulé received a special recognition from City of Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe. Brulé was awarded a commemorative coin, celebrating Ottawa’s 200th anniversary, in recognition for community leaders who have made an impact in Ottawa.

The president has worked at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology for the past 27 years, and the last seven years as its president and CEO.

“I am extremely proud of the impact we make every day, and the prosperity that is created as a result for our region,” said Brulé of the honour.
