PR students partner with local charity, LiveWorkPlay

1496913_10209616474197233_8009159793995724763_nIt’s that time of year again for Algonquin’s public relations students; a time characterized by planning, stress, and success. Every year these students come together to support a local charity by managing a semester-long campaign aimed at creating awareness and fundraising for a great cause.

This year’s chosen charity, LiveWorkPlay, is an Ottawa-based charity whose mission is to help the community welcome people with intellectual disabilities to live, work, and play as valued citizens.

The campaign, named Dreams Worth Living and running from March 23 to April 18, will consist of 11 events in total. The events will cater to a wide audience, involving everything from a Beatles themed wine and cheese to glow-in-the-dark dodgeball.
