The Co-op Department has moved online and have been supporting our employers by assisting in setting up virtual interviews and remote onboarding. We are committed to supporting you in moving your co-op student hiring processes online and have put together the below resources to assist you during this time.

We are encouraging our employers and community partners to continue with hiring plans, respecting this environment of extraordinary circumstances and to consider all alternatives before cancelling an upcoming or already offered co-op opportunity. Some opportunities to consider in hiring a co-op student:

  • Allow the student to work from home if this practice is supported by the organization
  • Consider shifting the start date of the work term
  • Host orientation and onboarding online
