Welcome to your Employee Learning Moment

Employee Learning Moment. Just enough. Just in time. Just for you.

Just the tool. Just in time. Just for you.

This blog is designed for our busy lives at Algonquin College. This is the place to learn about just the right tool (that will help do the trick), just-in-time (to help you through the rest of your week) and just for you (as an employee at AC)!

The Employee Learning Moment (ELM) highlights resources, tools, and just-in-time workplace tricks to help you work more collaboratively and effectively. We hope you will return to this blog or subscribe to receive weekly updates.

Why and How do we Build a Data-Driven Culture? Wednesday, April 30, 2025 Posted in: Collaboration, Employee Learning Moment

Why is data important?  It has the potential to be the most valuable asset available in every organization today.  In this 48 second video, Dr. Jonathan Reichental, founder, professor and author introduces the importance of data culture as the human operating system of digital transformation – where data value can only be leveraged if it is governed and managed within a culture that embraces data in almost all its functions.  He highlights the difference between an organization that simply manages data as a consequence of doing business versus one that considers data central to how it operates and makes decisions.

If this topic is of interest to you, you can join Dr. Reichental to continue to watch this 4-part course to learn what it takes to build a data-driven culture and how to better leverage the enormous power and value of data that can set a company up for success.
